Usually, I see divorces get granted pretty quick, within a couple of days. I get very excited when they are same day divorces though. If they're same day it's usually when the petitions are filed int the morning and the judge grants them in the afternoon. Only very rarely do I see petitions go past two weeks.

Sometimes a petition just doesn't sit well with a judge. When this happens, instead of asking for a revision, the judge will call the parties in for questioning. This rarely happens but can be an inconvenience.
